Description

Classic Sea Salt by Tropic Marin is the ideal basis for the care and maintenance of healthy marine life in saltwater aquariums such as fish, corals and invertebrates. It is carefully formulated to simulate natural ocean water. Particularly suitable for aquariums with a large number of fish.

Buffering substances are added to the sea salt to stabilise the carbonate hardness and the pH value of the prepared saltwater. Classic sea salt contains no artificial additives and is free from nitrates and phosphates.

The salt contains all the macro and trace elements occurring in tropical ocean water:

  • Macro elements : calcium, chlorine, potassium, magnesium, sodium, sulfur;
  • Trace elements : aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, bismuth, lead, boron, bromine, cadmium, cesium, cerium, chromium, cobalt, dysprosium, iron, erbium, europium, fluorine, gadolinium, gallium, germanium, gold, hafnium, Holmium, Indium, Iodine, Iridium, Carbon, Copper, Lanthanum, Lithium, Lutetium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Neodymium, Nickel, Niobium, Osmium, Palladium, Platinum, Praseodymium, Mercury, Rhenium, Rhodium, Rubidium, Ruthenium, Samarium, Scandium, selenium, silicon, silver; Nitrogen, Strontium, Tantalum, Tellurium, Terbium, Thallium, Thorium, Thulium, Titanium, Tungsten, Vanadium, Ytterbium, Yttrium, Zinc, Tin, Zirconium.

Application and dosage:

Dissolve 35 ml Classic sea salt per 1 litre of water in a container. The seawater is ready to use when the salt has completely dissolved and the solution is clear.

Tip: The specific gravity of the saltwater solution should be ideally between 1.022 to 1.024 at 25°C. Replacing 10% of your aquarium water with saltwater prepared with Classic sea salt once a week will help maintain good water quality.

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:

Tropic Marin offers a dosage calculator on their website. Use this to calculate how much CLASSIC sea salt you need to add to a specific amount of water.
