Tetra Tetratec Brilliant Filter

The Tetra Brillant Filter is an air-powered internal filter with foam cartridge that is used for mechanical and bioactive filtering in freshwater aquariums up to 100 litres.

For the well-being of your fish and plants, permanent filtering of the aquarium water is necessary. Tetra filter technology safely breaks down excess nutrients and thus ensures permanently good water quality. The filter is the heart of every aquarium and is therefore chosen to fit every biotope. It is not only the size of the basin that is important, but also its inhabitants. At Tetra, all AquaArt complete sets contain the right filter for the fish stock suitable for the respective aquarium. However, if the circumstances change because the fish are multiplying or very small animals such as dwarf shrimp are feeding in, the existing filter may also have to be replaced by a more suitable one. The Tetra Brillant internal filter is an air-operated internal filter for use with the Tetra APS 100 air pump (not included in the contents of delivery!) And is used for mechanical and biological water treatment. Thanks to the small pore size, the surface of the filter medium is enlarged so much that numerous positive-acting bacterial columns can colonise, which serve to break down pollutants. The foam structure of the open pores is retained even after prolonged use. The Tetra Brillant Filter is the simplest type of filtering and is therefore particularly suitable for holding young fish or invertebrates such as dwarf shrimp. The filter cartridge is made of high-quality foam that does not dissolve in water or release toxic substances. The functional meadow ensures an efficient oxygen supply and water circulation. The handling is simple, infinitely adjustable in height and easy to clean. Two stable suction cups ensure a secure hold in the aquarium. The foam cartridge is available as a spare part and should only be cleaned with lukewarm, better with aquarium water, for cleaning purposes and replaced every 6 months.
