Tropica Hygrophila pinnatifida and Moss

The approx. 25 - 30cm long root is planted with a Hygrophila pinnatifida from India and moss. Due to its height of 20 - 40cm, it is ideally suited for the medium to background, where it feels most comfortable at a water temperature of 18 - 28 degrees and in soft water.

The plant, which has been cultivated in the aquarium hobby since 2008, enjoys great popularity due to its versatile uses. Hygrophila pinnatifida can also be placed on stones and roots - which is completely atypical for a stem plant. The fern-like leaves can turn rust-brown to olive-green, depending on the fertilisation and sufficient lighting.

Hygrophila pinnatifida forms horizontal side shoots that grow over the hardscape if you let them. If you prefer a compact growth, you can cut off the side shoots, which makes it grow upwards.
