JBL ProScape Volcano, 9L

The JBL ProScape VolcanoMineral is a volcanic natural substrate for aquascaping aquariums and is available in various units.

Highly porous volcanic rock
The highly porous volcanic rock has various tasks in an aquascaping aquarium: First, it provides a stable base for further constructions of stone and / or wood (roots), which would slip further down through the soil. On the other hand, many beneficial bacteria settle in the porous structure, contributing to a positive water environment. Furthermore, the porous rock structure provides a good penetration of nutrients and provides many minerals, allowing plants to root and grow very well. JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral ensures the circulation of water in the soil and helps bring organic plant nutrients to the plant roots.

Promotes the colonisation of microorganisms
JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral ensures optimum oxygen supply in the soil through its open-pore structure. This supports the colonization of microgram quantities that make the soil a well-functioning biotope.

Rich in valuable minerals and trace elements

JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium, as well as trace elements such as iron, boron or manganese and therefore supports plants to grow optimally.

Application
It is recommended to use 2-4 cm of JBL ProScape Volcano as the first layer, depending on the base height. JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral can then be topped with the desired substrate, eg. JBL ProScape Plant Soil. When filling with water, be careful not to disturb the ground. JBL ProScape Volcano is not suitable for combined use with JBL Zanzibar.

Calculation formula for the right amount of substrate: Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm): 1000 = Liter JBL ProScape Volcano.

Tip
We recommend, prior to the introduction of the substrate, the possibility of floor heating cables. For example, consider the JBL ProTemp base, as retrofitting makes it necessary to clear out the complete aquarium!
