Eheim bioMECH, 2L

The Eheim bioMECH is a mechanical-biological filter medium for combined water treatment.

bioMECH is very cleverly constructed: coarse and fine dirt particles get caught in the dirt collecting pockets and are retained. At the same time, a sophisticated pore structure ensures the settlement of cleaning bacteria and thus also reliable biological degradation. The material is pH neutral and contains no hardening agents.
EHEIM bioMECH is suitable for fresh and saltwater, is washable and can be used several times.

Reusable, wash out carefully so as not to destroy the bacterial cultures.

Mechanical filter media retain more or less coarse dirt particles. Biological filter media, on the other hand, ensure that bacterial cultures colonise, the cleaning bacteria feed on and convert dirt particles. This is the main way to achieve clear, healthy water in the aquarium and stable water values.
