Strong light above the aquarium and large plant and fish stock and reluctant feeding can lead to nutrient gaps in the aquarium, slow growth of the aquarium plants, give pale colours and then to an algae plague. Nutrient gaps in the macronutrients nitrate, phosphate and potassium should, therefore, be filled specifically with aquatic plant fertilisers.

Potassium, in particular, should also be fertilised in heavily populated aquariums since this nutrient is only present in traces in tap water and is also not brought into the aquarium in relevant quantities via fish feed.

With the liquid fertiliser Aqua Rebell Macro Basic Potassium, you have the option of specifically adding the macronutrient potassium. With this you fill in nutrient gaps with this plant nutrient and your aquarium plants can grow healthy again. This liquid fertiliser contains no phosphate and no nitrate. With the aquatic plant fertiliser Aqua Rebell Macro Basic Potassium as a single nutrient fertiliser, you can cover the needs of your aquarium plants in combination with other Aqua Rebell aquarium plant fertilisers.

A weekly water change of 25% to 50% should take place in fertilised aquariums and aquascapes. Each aquarium reacts differently, so you may have to readjust the amount of fertiliser. To do this, you should monitor the potassium level in the aquarium with an appropriate water test. If you find that the potassium concentration in your aquarium increases, you should dose the fertiliser accordingly lower.
