Description
Twice the power. Three times the service life compared to UV sterilizers.
The TWINSTAR effectively kills pathogens and sterilises sustainably, so it doesn't have to run through 24 hours like a UV clarifier. Your aquarium is not as clean as you might think. Countless pathogens and mould spores buzz in the air. They also settle in the aquarium, and if they find favourable conditions there, they settle and multiply - similar to bread, which moulds much faster in summer at high temperatures and high humidity. When fish or shrimp are fed, the bacteria and fungi find even more food. If higher temperatures occur, the aquarium water becomes a perfect environment and they multiply very quickly. The TWINSTAR protects the fish and shrimp by removing 99.9% of all germs from the water.
Since only the germs in the open water are fought here, the useful filter bacteria remain unaffected. The TWINSTAR was tested in cooperation with the KNIFS. In the course of 1200 tests, the performance of the TWINSTAR in killing germs has been continuously perfected. During the tests, the institute worked with E. coli and known pathogens in aquarium fish that cause, for example, fungal infections, columnaris, white spot disease, Edwardsiellosis and infections with the herpes virus.
