TERRAClay Substrate is a mixture of sand, clay and calcium carbonate. It is structurally stable and is ideal for recreating a natural environment for desert and steppe animals in terrariums.

Suitable for the following animals:
Animals that live in desert, semi-desert or steppe regions, such as
Eublepharis macularius, Pogona vitticeps, Hemitheconyx caudicinctus, Pogona henrylawsoni, Crotaphytus collaris, Uromastyx, skinka (Scincidae), monitor lizards (Varanidae), scorpions (Scorpiones), spiders (Araneae), praying mantises (Mantodea), beetles (Coleoptera), etc.

Application:

1. Empty the contents of the pack into a large container.
2. Add a suitable amount of water to achieve the desired consistency. Start with a small amount.
3. Mix thoroughly.
4. To model the background, place the terrarium flat on its back wall first.
5. Take a small amount of the mixture and shape it as desired.
6. Add any additional decor and fix it in place with TERRAClay.
7. Wait until the background has dried and then place the terrarium upright again.
8. Then continue modelling the terrarium floor.
9. You can use empty Tropical food containers, for instance, to create tunnels and caves.
10. Finally, add other essential terrarium accessories such as a water dish.
11. Let everything dry well before you introduce an animal or animals into the terrarium.
