Description
Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Pellets is an organic filter medium which is ideal for fluidised bed filters and pellet reactors thanks to its compact size. The organic filter medium consists of a mixture of natural polymers that break down nitrate and phosphate effectively and efficiently by promoting the growth of nitrate and phosphate degrading bacteria and other microorganisms. The hard-working microorganisms and bacteria that break down these substances are also a tasty food for filter feeders in saltwater aquariums.
NP-Bacto-Pellets can be used very easily and quickly, and they have a long-lasting effect.
Ingredients: Mixture of natural biopolymers.
Application:
NP-Bacto pellets are to be used in a fluidised bed filter or a pellet reactor. In order to optimally break down the nutrients and to ensure proper gas exchange, the saltwater aquarium should be skimmed.
Dosage:
Pour hot water over the pellets before use. This expels air from the pellets. For the first use, add 50 ml NP Bacto pellets per 100 L of aquarium water. After 4 weeks, the dosage can be doubled.
Maximum dosage: Do not add more than 200 ml NP-Bacto-Pellets per 100 L aquarium water.
Tip: Placing the outlet of the pellet reactor close to the skimmer inlet will help break down nitrate and phosphate faster and more effectively.
Note: The material used up must be supplemented every month.
