The Tetra Selection is a staple food from four different types for tropical ornamental fish in the freshwater aquarium in all water zones. The feed is available in different containers.

Since May 2014, the recipes for the three staple foods for tropical ornamental fish TetraMin, TetraRubin and TetraPhyll have included a new, functional ingredient: prebiotics. These are already known from human nutrition, as well as from feed for dogs and cats. These also improve food and nutrient utilisation in ornamental fish and thus improve bodily function. Scientific studies have shown that inulin is an ideal addition to the BioActive formula. The beta-glucan contained in combination with inulin has a positive effect on health, strengthens the immune system and gives the fish more resistance, energy and vitality. Tetra Selection combines four main types of food in four separate compartments for fish that eat in different water regions: TetraMin flakes float on the surface and correspond to the natural eating habits of surface-eating fish. TetraMin Crisps are floating and slowly sinking and are therefore particularly suitable for fish in the upper and middle water regions. TetraMin Granules is a slowly sinking granulate and therefore ideal for feeding all fish in the middle water zones. The TetraWafer Mix sinks quickly and supplies all bottom-dwelling fish.

Feeding recommendation
Tetra Selection should be fed 2-3 times a day in such small portions that the fish can eat completely in a few minutes and can be supplemented with delicacies such as the Tetra Delica supplementary feed types. The best-before date on the packaging indicates the point at which the feed remains sealed and properly stored and remains unspoiled. The opened feed box should be fed within 3 months because moisture, air and light break down the nutrients in the feed and thus impair the supply of essential ingredients.
