JBL Zanzibar ORANGE, 10kg

The JBL Zanzibar Orange is a fine orange sandy substrate with a grain size of 0.2-0.6 mm, which is suitable for freshwater and seawater aquariums, as well as for use in the terrarium.

JBL Zanzibar Orange is a recoloured natural substrate with coarse-grained, rounded sand for all aquariums and optimal for bottom-dwelling animals, as this fine rounded quartz sand also occurs in the native waters of these animals. In fish such as rays, thorns and catfish, etc., the sensitive barbels are protected with this sand. The fine grain and dense storage prevents the infiltration of mulch and other waste, thus preventing decay processes that could hinder plant growth. For magnificent plant growth we recommend JBL AquaBasic plus long-term nutrient medium with JBL Zanzibar Orange as a top layer. JBL Zanzibar Orange releases neither hardeners nor unwanted silicates to the aquarium water.

Application
JBL Zanzibar Orange is pre-cleaned and therefore only needs to be rinsed briefly in tap water before use to remove transport-related abrasion. When filling with water, make sure not to disturb the floor. How to calculate the need for Zanzibar Orange for your aquarium (with a layer thickness of 5 cm): Length in cm x Width in cm / 140 = kg Zanzibar Orange.

Tip
We recommend, prior to the introduction of the substrate, the possibility of a substrate for the promotion of plant growth, as well as the introduction of a floor heating cables such as the JBL ProTemp base, as a subsequent introduction requires a complete emptying of the aquarium!
