Description

JBL Krill is a premium staple food in flake form for all tropical fresh and saltwater fish between 3 and 25 cm in size that are in the middle to upper water layers. Thanks to different flake sizes, the aquarium fish have optimal feeding conditions, as all fish sizes are addressed and cared for. The krill flakes are particularly rich in high-quality proteins, unsaturated fats and carotenoids. Various specially selected raw materials in JBL Krill help to maintain an intact immune system and are widely accepted.

Thanks to the particularly finely ground krill shrimp, JBL Krill is particularly easy to digest, which leads to fewer excretions, thus ensuring improved water quality. The optimally balanced phosphate content also reduces water cloudiness and prevents algae from growing.

A head start through research is actively implemented at JBL:

Food trials on JBL research expeditions have shown that 98.5% of all freshwater fish species in the wild immediately accept JBL food. In contrast to other competitors, only the highest quality fish meat is processed in JBL feed, as it is also suitable for human consumption in fillet production, true to the motto: the large fillet for the plate, the small fillet for the ornamental fish. Therefore, no fish has to be caught separately for the production of feed. Based on the latest findings in fish physiology, JBL feed types have a perfect ratio between high-quality proteins and fats.

Animal welfare is also a top priority at JBL and so no cheap fishmeal is used in JBL feed. Most proteins come primarily from aquatic animals. The results of these research expeditions in combination with the knowledge of the JBL research and development team lead to optimal and balanced feed mixtures with high-quality ingredients. In addition, JBL has been supporting the largest protection organization for sharks, the “Shark Project”, for years.

Thanks to the high-quality, airtight packaging, there is only a very small loss of vitamins and freshness in the flake food. This premium staple food for ornamental fish of various sizes has a shelf life of four months after opening and three years when sealed. In addition, this staple feed can be combined with vitamins and delicacies to round off the daily menu.

Feeding recommendation:

Feed once or twice as much JBL Krill a day as the fish can consume in 5 minutes. However, the feeding intervals can be increased both in rearing and in the case of juvenile fish.

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:

JBL krill is particularly easy to digest thanks to finely ground krill shrimp!
