GlasGarten Environment Aquarium Soil is an active substrate that naturally lowers pH and stabilises it with a buffering function - ideal for shrimp aquariums, plant aquariums and aquascapes. It contains valuable fulvic acids, which give the aquarium a good start and make the water crystal clear.

GlasGarten Environment Aquarium Soil - lovingly named "Envi" in the scene - consists of 2-4 mm large, relatively round granules of various sterilised and burnt soils, especially for use in shrimp aquariums, aquascapes and plant aquariums. Its grain size makes it perfect for use with soil filters.

The active substrate "GlasGarten Environment Aquarium Soil" removes the carbonate hardness from the water and thereby lowers the pH to around 5.5 to 6.5 and keeps it stable. This and the fulvic acids it contains make the aquarium ideal for soft-water shrimp and most tropical aquatic plants, for fish that like soft water and, of course, for the important microorganisms.

Please do not wash out GlasGarten Environment Aquarium Soil before use. So that the ground does not get mixed up when filling the water into the aquarium, you can let it run in with a saucer. Please do not use GlasGarten Environment Aquarium Soil for aquariums with fish, shrimp, crabs or plants that need a high pH. Fish such as tank catfish, which like to dig in the ground, are not necessarily suitable for an aquarium with the soil, because they stir up a lot of dust by their waving activity and thus can contribute to permanent water turbidity. We recommend a ground level of at least 4 cm.

Shortly after water filling, the water may turn cloudy in the short term, if the filter works well this is very quick and the aquarium water will become crystal clear. Please store opened packages well and tightly so that the soil does not dry out.
