Description
Reptiles and amphibians kept in terrariums often have truble absorbing important nutrients from their food. Calcium deficiency in particular is a worry for many terrarium keepers.
The Exo Terra Calcium is a supplement in liquid form that is specially suited to the needs of reptiles and amphibians. To strengthen the bone structure of animals in terrariums, the liquid preparation consists of 8% natural calcium and 1 % magnesium. Calcium contributes to bone formation and supports the development of the skeleton. Magnesium promotes the production of the calcitonin hormone which ensures healthy bone density. Calcium and magnesium in conjunction regulate muscle contractions, nerve signalling and hormone production. The lwuid form of this calcium additive makes it much easier to ingest and utilise as it gets immediately absorbed through the small intestines of terrarium animals.
