Description

EHEIM AKTIV is acid-washed and activated for automatic water absorption (active surface 1200 m² / g). Therefore, this activated charcoal binds chemical pollutants such as pesticides, drug residues and other chemical substances very quickly and stores them in large quantities. This makes the water in the aquarium crystal clear. It is particularly important to use it after treating the aquarium inhabitants with medication.

EHEIM AKTIV should only be used for a limited period of time (approx. 4 weeks) and should then be removed or replaced.
In the layer structure of the filter, EHEIM AKTIV is used directly after the mechanical filter material (e.g. EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and the biological (e.g. SUBSTRATpro) in the mesh bag supplied.

  • Activated charcoal for automatic adsorption
  • Quickly binds chlorine, pesticides and other chemical substances
  • Use, for example, after a new establishment or medication treatment
  • Use for a limited time only (approx. 4 weeks)
  • Suitable for fresh and sea water

Usually, adsorptive filtering is only necessary during the running-in phase of the aquarium or after the use of medication.
