Dennerle Plants Taxiphyllum alternans Taiwan

Taxiphyllum alternans Taiwan is very similar in looks to Java moss but its structure is significantly denser and more branched. The edges and splash zones of waterfalls are its natural habitat. It is easy to care for and grows well, provided it is left alone. With plenty of CO₂ addition, it thrives and adds a beautiful natural touch to your aquascape both in nano tanks and detailed, large layouts. Moss is a great addition to your aquarium for smaller inhabitants such as shrimps as it provides them with a safe retreat. Plus, herbivores find this moss unpalatable.

• Light requirement: Medium to low
• Optimal temperature: between 20 and 28 °C
• Water values: very adaptable
• Addition of nutrients and CO₂: not necessary, but will be amply rewarded
• Propagation: Division of the moss cushions

Tip: This moss will reveal its full splendour after an acclimatisation period of several weeks. Until then, leave it alone. Place it in a location where it can remain and grow undisturbed.
