Dennerle Plants Alternanthera reineckii Red Ruby

The beautiful Alternanthera reineckii Red Ruby is a new cultivar that features ruby-red veining which contrasts with the red base colour of the leaves. Due to its somewhat slower growth rate compared to other Alternanthera varieties, it is ideal for smaller aquariums, even for a 30-litre cube, provided you ensure good lighting.

The Red Ruby grows best and thrives in large aquariums where you should plant a group of around 15-20 stems to create an attractive overgrown look. You can place it in the background where it can reach a height of up to 40 cm. It harmonises particularly well with green neighbours.

The Alternanthera reineckii Red Ruby thrives at temperatures between 22 and 28 °C and is also flexible in terms of water hardness. It grows best in medium to high light and adds colour to your underwater paradise.
