In well-lit and well-planted aquariums with few fish, in which feeding is also carried out reluctantly, nutrient gaps can occur with the macronutrients nitrate, phosphate and potassium, which promote the occurrence of algae plagues. Such gaps can, of course, be recognised on the one hand by a water test, on the other hand by the rather sparse vegetation and rather pale leaf colours.

With the liquid fertiliser Aqua Rebell Macro Special N with booster effect, you can supply your aquarium with the essential plant nutrients nitrogen and nitrogen from different sources, potassium, magnesium and calcium. It fills nutrient gaps and your plants start to develop beautiful colours and grow healthy again. This liquid fertiliser does not contain phosphate.

In aquariums and aquascapes in which fertilisation is carried out, we generally recommend a water change of 25% to 50% per week. Since each aquarium reacts differently, you may have to adjust the amount of fertiliser up or down depending on the actual consumption of your aquatic plants. This way you avoid high nitrate concentrations in your aquarium water. Especially in the beginning, you should measure the nitrate value every now and then.

As a nitrogen source, this fertiliser contains highly mineralised carbamide, which is first mineralised to ammonium, which is then converted into nitrate by bacteria. The aquatic plants can utilise both carbamide and ammonium, some aquatic plants even prefer these substances as a nitrogen source.

If you drive your aquarium with a pH value above 7, you should dose carefully, as ammonia could possibly form here. If your aquarium already has a high nitrate value, you should better choose another solution from our fertiliser range.

Together with the fertilisers Aqua Rebell Macro Special Light (nitrate, phosphate and potassium), Aqua Rebell Macro Special K (potassium) you can use the aquatic plant fertiliser Aqua Rebell Macro Special N (nitrate) to regulate the nutrient supply in your aquarium in a targeted and very fine manner. The Aqua Rebell Macro Special N is responsible for the nitrogen supply to the aquarium plants. It contains several different nitrate salts, so this liquid fertiliser for the aquarium also brings small amounts of potassium, calcium and magnesium.

Aquatic plants such as Hemianthus callitrichoides "Cuba" react very well to the addition of Aqua Rebell Makro Spezial N - their colours become more intense and they continue to grow healthily.
